Engraving Charges for Customer Owned Items

1 setup charge of $10 per each type of item.
(example 5 like pens and 12 like keychain equals 2 setups.)

Standard Engraving is .30 cents per letter.
True-type letters engraved are .80 cents per letter.

Lasering any truetype font is .30 cents per letter

  There is a per piece minimum of $6 on Standard engraving and lasering
and $10 minimum on truetype engraving.

The charge on one piece will be at least $16.
(1 setup of $10 and 1 minimum of $6)

Small perpetual add on plates purchases
for plaques purchased from us is $6 minimum
or .22 cents per letter with no set up.

with the same logo or text.

Engraving on Customer Owned Items.

We offer engraving on some customer owned items.
We can engrave most common shaped items such as
plaques, engraving plates, trays, metal pens, medals, trophies etc.

Items must be clamped securely for engraving.
Delicate, odd shaped items may be damaged so
we do not attempt to engrave them.

If you are doing a larger quantity of the same item
we can sometimes make custom jigs and develop special methods
for difficult items. We will need to see the item.

Some gift items such as frames are made of thin gage
metal and the cutter pressure will dent the area around the
engraving so we do not attempt to engrave them.

Many gift items such as frames, ornaments and desk accessories
are silver plated. If the plating is not secured completely
to the item during manufacturing, the plating can chip or
completely pop like a bubble when engraved. We will
engrave some of these items at YOUR risk.
We do a lot of bulk orders. Sometimes all will engrave correctly.
Sometimes 1 or 2 will be defective. Sometimes almost all will
be defective so we will stop the order.

If you are having a quantity of items to
engrave and need a specific amount of completed product,
you should supply 1% to 5% of extra product
to allow for defective plating, manufacturer defects and damaged product
that won't be known until opened or short shipments by your supplier.
We will engrave the exact number needed and return
the extra items to you of not needed.

Customer owned items cannot be oxidized to black letters
as it is necessary to have a high quality laquer on the item and
we cannot determine that for items we don't sell.
Otherwise, over time the entire surface of the item will turn black.

Sometimes it is more economical to have us attach
an engraved plate in your choice of color to your item.

Engraving on gift or busniess items will be silver on silver or gold on gold.
To increase the contrast and legibility, a bold true type font
on larger items is a good option. The hatch fill adds a distinctive
look to the engraved letters.
