TEXT FILE INFORMATION
If you wish, for your convenience, we can accept a computer .txt file for your engraving copy.
Text for a lengthy plaque or numerous items may be submitted in a text file instead of a paper printout.
Its best to save as a .txt file. We can usually open PC based Excel, Word and Works files also.
~To create a new text file open programs-accesories-notepad. Enter the text desired. Save the file as a .txt.
Make a note of the directory path saved in so you can select when e-mailing.
~To save text from another application, Save as or export after .txt option from the drop down box is selected.
~To copy and paste from an application without a save as text option: Hold down the left mouse button and drag over the desired text.
Right click, select copy. Open up notepad (see above) and right click and select paste. Save the file in .txt format.
~Information from database fields not needed should be omitted.
~Use the Upper or lower case desired in the finished product (font selection doesn't matter)
~List First and Last Names in the order desired on the Finished product
~Place The Names or wording on separate lines as desired in the finished product
~Left justify, don't center. Use single column format.
~For multiple items, repeat information with no blank spaces between items
~Save as plain .txt file.
~Save separate files for no more than 1,000 individual items.

PC FORMATTED 100 OR 250 ZIP DISK MS, SD/MMC, CF/MD, or SM
TRUE TYPE FONT INFORMATION
You can send us your special font (.ttf only) used in your logo or a font you want used in a layout. We cannot use MAC Fonts
How to give us a copy of your true type font.
To copy to a 3 1/2 disk,zip drive or cd: (Normal copy and paste methods will not work with system files.)
1. Place a disk in the drive.
2. Go to c:/windows/fonts in "windows explorer"
3. Select the font with the left mouse button, hold down and drag to the drive with your disk in it.
To e-mail: ( you CANNOT attach the file directly from the windows/fonts folder.)
Create a new or use and existing folder and make a note of the path. Open the folder.
Open a second window to C:/WINDOWS/FONTS and locate the desired font.
Use the RIGHT mouse button to select, click, hold down and drag to the other folder.
Release and select COPY HERE. ( CAUTION: IF YOU DRAG THE FONT WITH THE LEFT MOUSE BUTTON YOU MUST HOLD DOWN THE
CONTROL KEY OR YOU WILL MOVE THE FONT AND IT WILL BE REMOVED FROM YOUR FONTS FOLDER.)
Use the e-mail attach file option to select the created file and e-mail to logojohn@swbell.net
